Iron Pellet prices move up by Rs 200/MT to Rs 9,000/MT (Basic) at a major Pellet manufacturing plant based in Raipur (Chhattisgarh).
The major reason for rise in offers is low supply of good quality iron ore.
Though, NMDC offered the raw material through e-auction but it is not feasible for steel plants to pay high at the moment as market is still waiting for some stability in demand.
Buying of Iron Pellet has improved from sponge iron units and sponge iron prices are standing at Rs 200/MT more in Raipur.
According to a senior official of the company, “Last booking orders were placed at Rs 9,000/MT levels and we are full with orders as of now. We are planning to hold sales and concentrate on dispatches presently”.
