Billet makers in Chennai (Tamil Nadu) sold at Rs 35,500/MT (ED included) in the start of the week.
Though, demand for the material has improved but low power supply and high power tariffs along with rise in cost of production has resulted in price rise by Rs 700/MT in a week's time.
Offers in Mumbai and Hyderabad increased by Rs 300/MT and changed marginally in few other places.
Billet prices are expected to start rising slightly by Rs 100-200/MT in the next week as buying is good.
