China: Iron ore spot prices edge up amid economic support

Iron ore spot prices in China increased by $0.55/t d-o-d to $121.6/t CFR China on 27 Mar’23. Market economics are improving as a result of the country’s decreasing reserve requirement ratio for all banks. The import margin for low-grade fines remained effective, with some market players confident about the discount level, anticipating the April discount to remain constant or narrow further.
