China: Manganese ore imports rise by 10% m-o-m in Feb’23

China imported 2.72 mnt of manganese ore in Feb’23, up 10% m-o-m compared to 2.46 mnt in Jan’23.
Ore imports increased amid rising demand for manganese alloys. Also, as several furnaces resumed production following maintenance, demand for the raw material resurfaced.
The major exporters were South Africa (1.36 mnt), Ghana (0.4 mnt) Australia (0.32 mnt), and Gabon (0.3 mnt).
