China: Steel inventory with mills fall by 4% w-o-w

Inventory of steel products with Chinese mills fell by 4% w-o-w to 15.02 mnt as on 17 Mar’23 compared to 15.57 mnt a week ago.

• Inventory of HRCs and CRCs decreased by 7% and 3% w-o-w to 2.44 mnt and 1.31 mnt, respectively. Plates’ inventory dropped by 3% w-o-w to 1.13 mnt.
• Inventory of rebars and wire rods edged down by 2% and 4% w-o-w to 8.39 mnt and 1.76 mnt, respectively.
