Brazil: Slabs exports largely stable m-o-m in Feb’23

Brazil’s steel slabs exports remained largely stable m-o-m at 640,969 t in Feb’23 as against 642,306 t in Jan’23, as per customs data.
The US was the largest importer at 416,354 t followed by Mexico at 65,251 t.
The cumulative export volumes increased by 9% y-o-y to 1.28 mnt in Jan-Feb’23 compared to 1.17 mnt in the same period last year.
