Expected rise in diesel prices and rising power prices will force railways to hike freight charges (railway budget to be announced in the month of Feb) said sources close to ministry.
“Chances are high that freight charges may go up in the budget owing to higher fuel costs.This will certainly impact on cost of loading of iron ore, coal and cement.” said industry source.
