Billet buyers in India limit purchases at current prices

“It is not that demand for Billet has been low in the last couple of days. Buyers are unwilling to place booking orders at current prices.

At around Rs 200/MT less, few of the buyers are ready to take the material”, said traders.

Looking at improving steel markets, manufacturers do not want to make sales at low prices.

Hence, offers are standing at more or less same levels from the beginning of the week and might stabilize further.

At Rs 30,000/MT (Ex Raigarh) and Rs 30,400/MT (Ex Bhilai), a trader sold Billet the last day.
