China: Chrome ore imports remain stable y-o-y in CY’22

China’s chrome ore imports remained unchanged at 15 mnt in CY’22 compared to 14.95 mnt in CY’21. Major exporting countries to China were South Africa with 12.31 mnt (up 3% y-o-y) and Turkey at 0.95 mnt (down 6% y-o-y) followed by Zimbabwe, and Albania, respectively. However, m-o-m imports increased by 15% to 1.31 mnt during Dec’22 compared to 1.41 mnt in Nov’22.
