Turkiye increases import duty on flat steel products

Turkiye’s government has raised import duty on non-alloyed flat steel products towards last weekend, sources informed. Import duty on HRC has been increased to 15% from 9% previously, on CRC to 17% (10% previously) and GI / PPGI to 20% (15% previously). In CY’22, the country’s imports of HRC were at 4.26 mnt, CRC at 0.58 mnt and GP at 0.66 mnt.
