South Korea: Steel billets imports almost stable y-o-y in CY’22

South Korea’s steel billets imports dropped marginally by 1% y-o-y to 1.52 t in CY’22 compared to 1.54 mnt in CY’21, as per customs data.
Japan was the largest exporter at 1.06 mnt, followed by Brazil at 132,798 t.
Steel billets imports by the nation declined by 40% m-o-m to 75,590 t in Dec’22 compared to 125,949 t in the previous month.
