Indian Mill scale exports have fallen by 66% to 0.5 MnT in FY15 as compared to 1.4 MnT in FY14. The last fiscal year i.e. FY14 was not a beneficial year for exporters as the global Iron ore prices had plunged to 10-year low level of USD 47-48/MT, CFR China.
In FY15, India had exported 80% of material to China (0.4 MnT), followed by 20,000 MT & 18,000 MT to Nepal and Philippines respectively.

Chinese Authorities reject Two Indian Mill Scale Vessels
Two Mill scale vessels have been rejected by Chinese authorities because of inferior quality. Both the vessels have been called back to India. One of them named as Mv. CS Princess, carrying 38,500 MT material arrived at Kandla Port on 10 Apr’15.
