Brazil: Pig iron exports edge up m-o-m in Dec’22

  • Brazil’s pig iron exports inched up by 3.2% m-o-m to 305,129 t in Dec’22 as against 295,596 t in Nov’22, as per customs data.
  • The US was the largest importer at 219,009 t.
  • Total pig iron exports by the nation increased by 15% to 3.74 mnt in CY22 as against 3.25 mnt in CY21.
