South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL) has commenced mining operations at Ketki coal mine located in Chhattisgarh. The mine has become the first underground project of Coal India Ltd (CIL) to be developed under mining-developer-cum-operator (MDO) mode. Notably, the company has engaged SMS Ltd as MDO for its 0.87 mnt/annum rated capacity Kekti project.
