India: JSL hikes stainless steel prices by INR 2,000/t

  • India’s largest stainless steel producer, Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), has announced a price hike of INR 2,000/tonne (t) in the 200 series HRCs and CRCs, sources informed.
  • As per SteelMint’s assessment, prices for JT-grade HRC ex-Mumbai stood was INR 127,000/t on 3 Jan’23.
  • The price increase was on the back of increased demand and rising prices for key raw materials like ferroalloys.
