Japan: Steel billets exports rise nearly 15% m-o-m in Nov’22

Japan’s steel billets exports rose by 14.8% m-o-m to 240,965 t in Nov’22 from 209,268 t in Oct, as per customs data.
South Korea was the top importer at 104,721 t followed by Taiwan and Thailand at 62,153 t and 48,499 t, respectively.
However, export volumes fell by 13.1% y-o-y to 2.58 mnt in Jan-Nov’22 as against 2.98 mnt in the year-ago period.
