China’s chrome ore imports increased by 18% to 1.141mnt in Nov’22 compared to 0.967 mnt in Oct’22. Low inventory boosted the Chinese buying interest during the month mainly from South Africa (up 20%, m-o-m) and Turkey (up 6%, m-o-m) followed by Zimbabwe, and Albania, respectively. Meanwhile, imports were nearly stable to 13.693 mnt during Jan-Nov ’22, y-o-y compared to the same period last year.
