World crude steel output drops y-o-y in Nov’22: WSA

Crude steel output of the 64 countries tracked by the World Steel Association (WSA) dropped by 3% y-o-y to 139.1 mnt in Nov’22. On a m-o-m basis, output fell by 6% as against 147.3 mnt in Oct’22.

• China’s output increased 7.3% y-o-y to 74.5 mnt.
• India’s production rose by 5.7% y-o-y to 10.4 mnt.
• Japan’s output declined by 10.7% y-o-y to 7.2 mnt.
