Indian Silico Manganese exports in Jan’15 were 58,253 MT which increased in February by 5.6%, summing up to 61,729 MT.
In January’15 total export to Japan was 12,878 MT which decreased in February’15 to 9,770 MT. Kolkata port exported 5,293 MT material and Vishakhapatnam port exported 7,185 MT SiMn in the month of January’15. Whereas in February’15, total quantity exported from Kolkata port was 7,336 MT and from Vishakhapatnam port it was 2,066 MT.
Likewise, in Taiwan the total quantity exported from Kolkata port in January was 4,450 MT and 3,350 MT from Vishakhapatnam port totaling to 7,800 MT. In February’15, 2,875 MT SiMn was exported from Kolkata port and 1,275 MT from Vishakhapatnam port, with a total of 4,150 MT.
There was an increase in exports in February’15 in Europe. The total quantity exported in January’15 was 13,880 MT and in February’15 it was 19,667 MT.
In Turkey the total exports in January’15 was 5,032 MT which decreased in February ’15 to 4, 374 MT. Export to Iran too saw a sharp increase. In February’15 the total quantity exported rose to 3,681 Mt from 671 MT January’15.
Currently, Indian-origin Silico Manganese demand in the export market remains moderate. Export offer for 60-14 grade is around USD 750/MT, FoB East Coast India and 65-15 grade at USD 840/MT, FoB East Coast India. Indian producers reported an increase in inquires from international buyers.
