Germany’s daily hard coal-fired generation was 14.5 GW on 29 November, its highest since 2020 according to Fraunhofer Ise data. On the other hand, weekly generation was 10.1 GW during 20-26 Nov. Based on available capacity of 12.6 GW for the period, plants are working at a load factor of around 80%. Notably, Germany’s thermal coal imports rose by 25% in Jan-Sept’22 at 21.73 mnt.
