- Japan’s manganese ore imports fell marginally by 5% to 52,629 t in Oct’22 against 55,464 t in Sep’22.
- Decrease in crude steel output during the month caused a fall in manganese ore exports.
- Major exporters were South Africa at 19,440 t, a fall of 40% m-o-m, Australia at 24,198 t, and Gabon at 9,000 t.
- In Jan-Oct’22, manganese ore imports totalled 747,367t, down by 3% y-o-y.
