Japan: Iron ore, pellets imports rise 20% m-o-m in Oct’22

Japan’s iron ore and pellets imports increased by 20.85% m-o-m to 8.98 mnt in Oct’22 from 7.43 mnt in September, as per Customs data.
Australia was the top exporter with 5.81 mnt, followed by Brazil with 1.8 mnt.
Cumulative import volumes fell marginally by 6% to 88.57 mnt in Jan-Oct’22, against 94.28 mnt in the year-ago period.
