Poland: Govt plans to raise coal output, slow down phase-out

Amid the ongoing energy crisis, the Polish government has planned to boost domestic production of coal and has slowed down its plans to close all mines. Poland is the only EU country that uses coal as its main source of generating electricity. Coal extraction in the coming months is seen higher in a bid to ensure enough electricity production and home consumption.
