OMC’s Chrome ore prices witness slight fall in the e-auction held on 28 Jan, 2015. +54 grade Chrome ore prices declined by 7% to INR 14,679/MT from INR 15,804/MT in December. While, 52-54 grade prices reduced by 20% to INR 12,028/MT from INR 15,045/MT in December.
50-52 grade prices also declined by 4% to INR 13,286/MT from INR 13,871/MT in the previous month. However, 48-50 grade and 46-48 grade witnessed slight increase of 5% each.
Tirumala Balajee has received an allocation of 4,600 MT, followed by Rohit Ferrothech’s West Bengal unit, which has got allocation of 4,400 MT. Interestingly, VISA Steel that also receives monthly allocation from OMC was participated in the e-auction and has brought 2,900 MT friable and 700 MT of concentrate ore. There were 18,000 MT friable and 900 MT concentrate ore on offer.
