Brazil: Slab exports rise over 40% m-o-m in Oct’22

Brazil’s steel slab exports rose by 42.19% m-o-m to 638,064 t in Oct’22 as against 448,731 t in Sep, as per Customs data.
The US was the largest importer at 452,059 t followed by Canada at 69,075 t.
Export volumes increased marginally by 10% y-o-y to 6.02 mnt in Jan-Oct’22 as against 5.45 mnt in the year-ago period.
