China: Iron ore imports increase by 4%, y-o-y, in October

China, the world’s largest iron ore consumer and importer, recorded imports of iron ore (including pellets) at 94.98 mnt in Oct’22 as against 91.61 mnt in Oct’21, according to the General Administration of Customs. Imports decreased by 5% m-o-m compared to 99.71 mnt in September. China’s total imports were recorded at 917.42 mnt during Jan-Oct’22, it inched down 2% y-o-y.
