India: Bids fall by up to INR 1,800/t at SAIL’s recent pig iron auctions

SAIL-Rourkela Steel Plant held an auction for 2,000 t of steel grade pig iron on 5 Nov’22. The entire quantity was booked at an average price of INR 40,500/t exw.
In another auction from SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant, 2,000 t was booked at an average price of INR 41,200/t exw.
Bids fell by INR 1,700 and INR 1,800/t respectively compared to the previous auctions from these plants.
