Multiple auctions of mild steel melting scrap were held by auto component producers in northern India this week. In one such auction held on 21 Oct’22 by a Uttarakhand-based producer, 160 t of turning scrap (unbundle) received bids at INR 39,500/t ex-works. In another auction, 40 t of CR-busheling punching scrap received bids at INR 43,700/t.
