Chinese steel major Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) has exported its first shipment of met coke to India via the Huanghua port. The shipment comprised 50,000 t of coke which arrived at India’s Patiala port. India’s met coke imports in Jan-Sep’22 rose by 7% y-o-y to 2.08 mnt after the removal of 5% import duty by the Finance Ministry.
