The spot prices of iron ore in China fell d-o-d on 11 Oct’22 on thin steel liquidity and Covid-19 resurgence. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices moved down by $1.70/t to $97.05/t CFR China. Several sources attributed the drop in iron ore prices to stricter Covid-19 measures in China following the Golden Week holidays, as well as poor steel sales.
