Europe’s benchmark ferro chrome price for Q4CY22 down by 17% q-o-q

Merafe, South Africa’s major ferro chrome producer, has announced that its price, which is the benchmark for Europe, will be at 149 cents/lb for Q4CY22, a decrease of 17.2% from the third quarter prices. According to sources, prices were reduced to maintain parity with China’s ferro chrome prices. Ferro chrome (HC60%) prices in China’s Inner Mongolia dropped by 14% q-o-q in Q3CY22.
