Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan decreased by RMB 20/t ($3/t) d-o-d on 30 Sep’22 before the National Day holidays. Prices stood at RMB 3,680/t ($517/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,799/t ($534/t), a drop of RMB 37/t ($5/t), d-o-d.
