China: Copper imports up 5.5% m-o-m in Aug’22

China’s imports of copper and copper products were recorded at 0.65 mnt in Aug’22, an increase of 5.5% against 0.62 mnt in July, as per General Administration of Customs data.
Total imports in January-August stood at 5.09 mnt, up 8.3% y-o-y compared to 4.7 mnt in the same period last year.
Imports of copper ores/concentrates (raw material) stood at 2.27 mnt in Aug’22, a rise of 20% m-o-m.
