State-run miner Coal India Ltd will sign an MoU with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and GAIL for setting up four surface coal gasification projects in an event to be held on 27 Sep’22. The technology involves conversion of coal into syngas that can be subsequently processed for downstream production of value-added chemicals.
