China: Chrome ore imports down 4% m-o-m in August

China’s chrome ore imports decreased marginally by 4% m-o-m to 1.16 mnt in Aug’22 compared to 1.20 mnt in Jul’22, as per customs data.
South Africa was the largest exporter at 1.01 mnt followed by Zimbabwe at 30,352 t and Turkey at 20,634 t.
China’s chrome ore imports were almost stable y-o-y at 10.1 mnt in Jan-Aug’22.
