South Korea: Ferro chrome imports drop marginally by 5% in Aug’22

South Korea’s ferro chrome imports fell by 5% m-o-m to 44,362 t in Aug’22. The fall in imports was mainly due to weak demand amid production cuts in stainless steel. South Africa was the largest exporter at 19,835 t in the month, however, the volumes dropped by 23% m-o-m. In Jan-Aug’22, import volumes remained unchanged at 364,844 t compared to the same period last year.
