The Bharat Aluminium Company (Balco) and the Hindustan Aluminium Corporation Limited (Hindalco) have reduced primary aluminium ingot (P1020 grade 99.7%) prices by INR 1,750/t ($22/t) following a minor price correction on the LME. Balco’s effective price stands at INR 226,000/t ($2,830/t), while Hindalco’s price is at INR 225,750/t ($2,827/t). However, LME-registered warehouse stocks continue to remain tight amid slow capacity utilisation.
