China: Manganese ore imports rise over 10%, m-o-m, in July

According to customs, China’s manganese ore imports rose by 11%, m-o-m, to 2.623 mn t in Jul’22. China was interested in high-grade manganese ore (Mn 44-46%) of Australian and Gabonese origins in Jul amidst electricity supply issues. On a yearly basis, however, imports dropped 10% to 16.73 mnt in the Jan-Jul’22.
