SAIL conducted an auction for 11,500 t (60 kg and 52kg, full length) of commercial rails on 22 Aug’22 from Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP). Buyers showed no interest for 60 kg rail due to the higher base price of INR 51,400/t and booked only 750 t at the base price. Meanwhile, 100 t of 52 kg rails were booked at INR 66,000/t exw, sources informed.
