India: About 7,000 t of sponge iron traded in Raipur, Chhattisgarh

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur climbed INR 600/t to INR 35,500/t exw on 16 Aug.
4,700 t of FeM 80% P-DRI deals were recorded at INR 35,500-35,700/t exw and DAP Raipur. Also, about 2,500 t of FeM 78% P-DRI was traded at INR 35,000-35,100/t DAP Raipur.
Trades of DR-CLO grade sponge were concluded between INR 39,500-39,800/t exw-Raipur.
Rising billet prices and sufficient orders with suppliers have lifted sponge iron prices.
