Amid weak demand from China, Indonesian miners have refrained from giving discounts to coal buyers. In a recent deal heard, 4200 kcal/kg GAR grade was booked at $74/t to China this week, down by $4/t from the latest index of $78/t. Rising imports of Russian coal into China have dampened seaborne thermal coal procurement of Indonesia-origin, leading to a consecutive fall in its prices over the last one month.
