India: Portside South African RB2 prices reach INR 17,500/t in Vizag

In a confirmed deal, 2,000 t of South African RB2 (5500 kcal/kg NAR) grade coal was sold at INR 17,500/t at Vizag Port, while prices of low-CV RB3 (4800 kcal/kg NAR) grade were at INR 15,300/t. While the procurement demand from sponge iron manufacturers remains sluggish, the availability of RB3 coal is also less with limited vessel arrival from South Africa, market participants informed.
