Heavy structure steel prices declined by INR 500/t d-o-d in Raipur. The current offer for 150mm channel stands at INR 57,000/t exw. Lack of trading activities amid lower demand from past few days exerted pressure on suppliers to reduce their offers. However, trade discounts are hovering at around INR 1,500/t in the spot market. In competitive market – Durgapur (Eastern region) – prices of the same size stood at INR 55,900-56,300/t yesterday.
