Active demand, higher raw material prices lift rebar prices in Raipur

IF-route rebar prices increased by INR 500/t d-o-d in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Around 3,600 t transactions were recorded in today’s session.
The price recovery in rebar was because of the upsurge in raw material (sponge iron and steel billets) prices.
Meanwhile, standalone re-rollers are currently working on lower margins of INR 2,500-2,700/t.
Notably, key rebar players in Raipur have increased re-bar (Fe-500D, 10-25 mm) offers by INR 500/t to INR 55,500/t exw.
