Japan: Ferrous scrap exports down by 13%, m-o-m, in June

Japan’s scrap exports fell 13% to 472,016 t in Jun’22 compared to 541,374 t in May, as per SteelMint data.
South Korea remained the largest importer at 229,111 t followed by Vietnam and Taiwan at 99,462 t and 50,666 t respectively.
On a y-o-y basis too, exports dropped by more than 35% against 731,028 t in Jun’21.
