OMC gets better price for its Chrome ore concentrate

Bhubaneswar: The
Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has fetched better price for its Chrome ore
concentrate at the recently concluded e-auction. This time 20,000 tonnes of 38-40
grade Chrome ore concentrates was on offer and the auction attracted the H1
price at Rs.7947 per tonne which is Rs.500 more than the H1 price of the
similar grade concentrate discovered at the last e-auction held on 16th
February. The H2 price has been fixed at Rs.7847 per tonne.

Off the 20
thousand tonnes on offer 16 thousand tonnes has been allocated to as many as 7
parties (end users) at the H1 price. These companies includes KL Resourses (odisha),Anand
Exports(Odisha),PLAlloys(Odisha),Pradhan Industries (Odisha), Rohit Ferrotech (Odisha
& WB),Metcor. Rohit Ferrotech’s Odisha and West Bengal units have been
allocated 1600 tonnes and 2 thousand tonnes respectively. Metcor has been
allocated 2 thousand tonnes. On the other hand the entire 4 thousand tonnes of
Chrome ore concentrate sold at H2 price has been allocated to Jindal Stainless.

This time 20 thousand tonnes of chrome ore concentrate of 38-40
grade from its Kaliapani Beneficiation plant was on offer. In the last
e-auction also ( 16th February) both JSL and Rohit are the aggressive
bidders and had been allocated major amounts of the Chrome ore.
