Vedanta announced its plan to fully acquire the 1,200 MW coal-based power plant of Athena Chhattisgarh Power Ltd in Janjgir-Champa district at a purchase price of INR 564.67 crore. The acquisition is estimated to be completed by the end of FY23. This acquisition will fulfill the power requirement for Vedanta’s aluminium business.
