Raipur sponge iron prices rise on active demand, rising billet prices

SteelMint’s price assessment for sponge P-DRI (FeM 80%) in Raipur rose by INR 800/t to INR 34,300/t exw.
About 4,500 t of FeM 78-80% P-DRI deals were reported at a price range of INR 33,800-34,400/t on exw and DAP Raipur basis. Out of this, the major quantity (around 70%) was sold from plants located in Raigarh and Odisha.
Prices remained strong on continued active demand, tight supplies and rising billet and coal prices.
