India’s largest power company NTPC has attained coal production of 4.24 mnt during the first quarter of FY23 (Apr-Jun’22), which is 61% more than the output recorded in the corresponding period of previous fiscal. The company currently operates three mines namely – Pakri Barwadih, Dulanga and Talaipalli – to meet its captive requirement for power generation. Recently, it had also started mining operations at Chatti Bariatu mine located in Jharkhand.
