Adani Enterprises has emerged as the lowest bidder in Coal India’s (CIL’s) maiden tender for imported coal supply. In the techno-commercial round, the company quoted INR 4,033 crore for the supply of 2.416 million tonnes of coal. This was followed by Mohit Minerals and Chettinad Logistics who have placed bids of INR 4,182 crore and INR 4,222 crore respectively. Apart from this tender, CIL has floated two more tenders for medium-term supply whose bids will be opened today.
